Últimas sobre Veronica Mars: O Filme

Joel Silver

"It's not me, there's just nobody that wants to make it happen. I'd love to see it happen. We talked to Rob Thomas about it and he had an idea of what to do. Look, it'd still be on the air if people want to see the movie or the show. It just didn't happen. I talked to [the Warner Bros.] home video people about it, because a movie like that would be driven by home video. But the home video itself didn't do that well for Veronica Mars so didn't feel there was a need or an audience for a direct-to-video Veronica Mars, which could have driven a theatrical release."

"Of course I would do it. I would want it to happen, it just seems like -- I don't know, maybe Joel crunched some numbers, but it seemed like he was interested a year and half ago. I don't understand what changed in the business, or maybe that's just it, the business changed. Maybe putting $20 million into a four million-viewer show on television isn't worth the gamble? I think it would make an outstanding movie. I know Rob had some great ideas."
